This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Old, Old Story designed from a painting by John William Godward shows a deep conversation between a young man who is leaning against a wall and a young woman seated on an animal pelt who is dropping petals from a white flower in her hand.  The story the woman is telling seems to be very entertaining, and she has managed to capture the young man's full attention while telling it.  There is a lovely grapevine growing up the wall next to the young man.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
