This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Skater designed from a painting by Felix Henri Giacomotti shows an elegant woman well-dressed all in black with winter clothing common in the 19th century.  Her attire consists of a white scarf around her neck, a black hat trimmed with a red scarf, and a black waistcoat, skirt, and skates.  She is skating on a rink with other people, as visualized in the background.  She uses a pole for propulsion, steering, and braking.  Her auburn hair is blowing wildly from underneath her hat as she leisurely glides around the rink.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
