This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Reading by the Window designed from a painting by Charles James Lewis shows a young woman sitting with her feet propped up on a bench.  It is a sunny springtime day, and she is enjoying her book.  The window lets in maximum sunlight, and with the sheer curtains, light filters in a soft, wonderful glow, perfect for reading.  Dozens of plants and flowers are on a windowsill benefiting from the sunlight.  The little dog is resting on the bench by her feet, patiently watching her read, yet hoping to get her attention.  The view from the window is a waterfront view with sailboats sailing off in the distance.  This is the perfect scene for all bibliophiles (booklovers) alike.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect. Our charts are in black and white only.
