This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Lady Mary Fox(Baroness Holland) designed from a painting by Pompeo Batoni shows a woman dressed in a gray travelling dress called a German habit or Brunswick. It was patterned after the masculine riding habit. There are finishing touches that feminize the outfit including making it fitted close to the body, adding a skirt, pink and white striped ruffles at the neckline and the same in bow fashion at the elbows. The woman is holding her favorite pet while he squirms in her arms to look up at her. Charming pattern! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
