This fine art counted cross stitch pattern, entitled La Fiancee, designed from a painting by Jules Joseph Lefebvre, shows a bride-to-be exhibiting a spiritless response to her wedding while one of her assistants is pinning her veil atop her head. One would expect that a bride would be full of hope and excitement, but this is not the case here, and she seems to be a reluctant bride. The other figures, perhaps, are her bridesmaids, and together they all represent femininity and beauty amongst each other. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
