This fine art counted cross-stitch pattern entitled Messenger of Love designed from a painting by Emile Munier shows a radiant young woman carrying a basket of cherries while two white doves flutter playfully around her shoulders. In creating this, Munier wanted to highlight the gentle joy of a summer morning, no doubt finding beauty in the soft light of the French countryside. The palette is a mix of deep forest greens and brilliant berry reds, very beautiful! It captures the scent of wild fruit and the warmth of a clear sky. For stitchers like myself, it is like a breath of fresh air. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
