This fine art counted cross stitch pattern, entitled Italian Woman, designed from a painting by Charles Landelle, shows a young Italian woman leaning up against a large pillar near a building entrance.  A potted tree with red flowers is blooming in the background.  The lighting is such that the image of the woman is highlighted by sunlight, while the rest of the fixtures, which are not as important, are in the shade.  The woman is wearing a peasant-style dress with an apron covering it, and her arms are loosely crossed as though she is taking a brief rest until she is called to complete more chores.  The way the sunlight focuses on her image is very appealing.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
