This windmill counted cross stitch pattern entitled Windmills of Northern Germany shows windmills along a nearby riverbank in Germany. The one we notice the most that is closest to us and is painted bright red catches our attention immediately. Shrubs and low growing trees are positioned alongside the river and add a lush greenery to the landscape that is easily reflected on the water’s surface. It seems to be a beautiful sunny day, but high up in the sky the clouds are a darker hue perhaps signaling a future storm. But for now, we can enjoy the sunshine in the scene. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
