This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Niagara designed from a painting by Louis Remy Mignot shows the breathtaking brink of the Great Falls, where emerald-green waters churn into a mist-filled abyss under the soft glow of a rising sun. In creating this piece, the artist wanted to emphasize the raw, primordial power of the American landscape and the ethereal, prismatic effects of light through moving water. The colors used create a stunning spectrum of deep aquamarine and sea foam greens, contrasted by the pearlescent pinks and warm violets of the spray catching the morning light. This pattern is for nature lovers like myself who appreciate the sublime scale of the natural world and the detailed, panoramic realism of the Hudson River School. The entire scene captures the silence of the surrounding wilderness, punctuated only by the distant, eternal roar of the cascading river.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
