This vintage counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Church Mouse shows a mouse dressed in vintage clothing of celery green and white lace. She is called the “church mouse” because she is always in church, prefers to dress this way to remind herself of her humble beginnings, and wants to learn more about her Creator. She is busy at church serving on the Usher Board, doing for others, and reading Bible stories to the children. She is old school, brings a fan to fan herself during the summertime, and wears hats although no hat is pictured here. She is a traditionalist and is proud of it! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
