This vintage counted cross stitch pattern entitled Princely Portrait shows an elf painting a portrait of a frog. The frog is hoping he will be portrayed as a prince; however, the elf believes in being honest and painting exactly what he sees--which is nothing more than an ordinary frog. No blended colors are used in our patterns. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our designs.
