This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Sir Galahad Discovering the Holy Grail designed from a painting by Edwin Austin Abbey shows Sir Galahad receiving the Holy Grail. All of the other knights wanted the honor of carrying out the task; however, Sir Galahad was the most Christ-like out of all of the knights, and that is why the task was bestowed on him. The Holy Grail is precious and is said to have been the cup, plate or chalice Jesus used at The Last Supper. Sir Galahad, after being presented with the Holy Grail was ordered to build a golden tree and after that, he ascended into heaven with The Holy Grail. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
