This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled A Lake at Sunset designed from a painting by Carl Frederik Aagaard shows a beautiful spectacular sunset with swirls of colors such as yellow, peach, rust, tan and ecru all swirling around a billow of gray clouds hovering over the lake. The birds have been feeding all day and are flying low to find a place to rest for the night. The center of the lake is lit up with the glorious setting sun as we see evidence of its light as shimmering gold upon the water. The reeds sway faintly in the gentle breeze, and all that is alive will rest to prepare for another day. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
