This historical counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Christmas Coach designed from a painting by Jean Leon Gerome-Ferris shows a horse-drawn coach festively decorated for the season with a lady passenger making her way off the coach on Market Street in Philadelphia on Christmas Eve. Her husband is there to greet her, and some of the other passengers have already exited the coach. A dog is wandering in the scene looking hopeful for some recognition from the gentleman who is assisting his lady, and a Native American is seen holding a rifle. The sky creates a pleasant yellow backdrop against the town's buildings. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
