This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Sketcher, A Portrait of Mlle Rosina, a Jewess designed from a painting by Daniel Huntington shows the portrait of a beautiful Jewish woman looking at a subject while she is sketching in her book.  The colors, the lighting and the tone used by the artist create a sense of exquisite beauty with the antique flush of colors on the wall in the background surrounding this angelic face of a woman.  There are so many areas of this scene that are remarkable like the printed sleeve of her dress which shows detail, the feathery collection of leaves from the plants beside her, the detail of her ruby bracelet and her green apron with well-intended creases make this a favorite of mine and will be one I will definitely stitch and place in an area of distinction in my home.  This finished pattern belongs in a study, a library, or any place of supreme distinction where it can be admired by yourself and others for its beauty.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
