This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Storm designed from a painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau shows two girls trying to shield themselves from a storm with the eldest providing a protective comforting arm around the younger girl.  The sky is intensely overcast and threatening, and the wind is whipping the girls' clothing around.  They are apparently near a large body of water which would make the winds coming off the water stronger than usual.  The look on their faces says it all that they are frightened with the impending storm coming and want to seek refuge.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
