This fine art counted cross stitch pattern, entitled Mail Coach in a Snowstorm, designed from a painting by Charles Cooper Henderson, shows a vintage coach driven by a team of horses and drivers sitting on the outside of the coach who are braving the storm and cold weather to deliver the mail. The other men riding the coach probably help distribute the mail when it reaches its destination. Although the snowstorm looks fierce, there is a certain beauty in its appearance, with dark swirls in the air being highlighted by the sheets of snow cascading down. The snow appears deep, and it is not an easy route to trudge through the unrelenting storm. The carriage is loaded down without any room to spare. Although their travel seems bleak, the mail carriers press on without hesitation to make their deliveries in a reasonable amount of time. Mail delivery has certainly come a long way. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
