This flower counted cross stitch pattern, entitled Cherokee Roses on a Light Gray Cloth, designed from a painting by Martin Johnson Heade, shows a cheerful sprig of Cherokee roses with white petals and gold centers lying on a gray cloth-covered table.  The leaves are a dark olive color, shining with a satin gloss.  The picture's tone portrays an antique look, which is endearing and beautiful in its own way.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
