This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled An Interesting Story designed from a painting by Francis Coates Jones shows what looks to be three generations of family consisting of possibly a mother, grandmother and granddaughter. The mother is standing by a sunlit window reading the newspaper out loud while the granddaughter and grandmother listen intently. Of note is that the grandmother is busy with her stitching, perhaps embroidery or cross stitch on a circular hoop. Scenes that show women cross stitching are near and dear to my heart and hopefully should be to you as well. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
