This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled A Rustic Mill designed from a painting by Albert Bierstadt shows an old water mill nestled in an enclave of tall trees with a horse-drawn carriage parked nearby. The day is sunny and the sky is blue with large masses of yellow clouds feathering across the sky. In the foreground is a pond, and a figure can be seen near the pond. Beyond the trees on the left is an area of vast acreage and farmland. Once you stare long enough, you can almost here the sound of the large paddle wheel of the mill drawing water up over the wheel causing gears to move to create power. The scenery is bucolic and restful creating an inviting environment that is easy on the eyes. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
