This fantasy/surreal counted cross stitch pattern entitled Queen of Hearts designed by Tracey Marvel Kramer depicts a fictional character that appeared in the story of Alice in Wonderland and is posing for her portrait. Her crown is festooned with rubies, and her gown of red, white and gold are characteristic of such a queen. Her raven locks cascade down her back, and she wears a necklace of gold. In appearance, she appears sullen, but such is the state of this character who never seemed satisfied with anything. In any case, if you are an Alice in Wonderland fan like myself, you can appreciate this rendition of this fantasy queen. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
