This landscape counted cross stitch pattern entitled Autumn Landscape, The Catskills designed from a painting by Albert Bierstadt shows dusk settling in as the light in the sky is getting low and the clouds are nearly touching the tops of the trees.  An intense darkening of the clouds is noted on the left side which would indicate an approaching storm.  Cows are grazing in the field getting their last nourishment for the day.  As the sun is setting, you can see a golden crest of light stretching over the rolling terrain dotted by small shrubs and trees.  Autumn has finally visited the area turning each tree into a beautiful shade of orange, red or rust.  Such beauty is certainly worth the stitch!  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
