This lighthouse counted cross stitch pattern entitled Cockspur Island Lighthouse shows a fitting portrait of the lighthouse on a sunny day. It is the smallest lighthouse in the State of Georgia located near the Savannah River, and sits on a bed of oysters and mussels. One of the unique features about Cockspur Lighthouse is that the base was built like the prow of a ship to minimize damage from the onslaught of waves on its structure. Although the lighthouse is not currently open for tourism, with its clear lines and simple structure, this would make a good nautical pattern to stitch. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used in our patterns. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our designs.
