This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Eastern Favorite designed from a painting by Edwin Longsden Long shows a young, beautiful Egyptian woman, tall in stature, scantily clothed and mostly nude, leaning up against a large interior column decorated with hieroglyphics and other artworks.  A piece of fruit lies on the floor by her feet, possibly a pomegranate.  The entire scene has a light green tint to it, giving it an unusual yet pleasing appearance.  In the distance is an ornate urn filled with greenery.  This artist emphasizes the beauty in the Orient and their customs that is often romanticized by Western civilization.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect. Our charts are in black and white only.
