This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Sibylla Palmifera designed from a painting by Dante Gabriel Rossetti shows the sibyl holding a palm-scepter and seated upon a throne before a marble canopied niche. Olive branches are seen hanging over her head while butterflies hover. Pilasters are illuminated by lamps, and a blindfolded cupid is seen. Lots of symbolism here including a serpent with many heads. Her dress is red and it dominates the entire scene. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
