This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Gathering Shells designed from a painting by Eugene de Blaas shows two lovely ladies out on the beach gathering seashells under a beautiful cloudy sky.  The sky itself is a beautiful shade of salmon pink.  It's getting late and they must hurry before dusk settles in.  The woman with her hands on her hips seems eager to collect the shells and leave while she impatiently waits on her friend who takes her good old time to sort them and put them in a basket.  You can practically smell the salt in the ocean air and feel the mist on your face in this one.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
