This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Diana as Personification of Night designed from a painting by Anton Raphael Mengs shows the Roman goddess of the hunt gracefully descending through a moonlit sky, her golden robes billowing as she clutches her silver bow. Of note is the ethereal majesty of the night and the dynamic, flowing movement of classical mythology. The colors used in this palette are a dramatic contrast of luminous, sun-drenched yellows and teals set against a deep, indigo sky filled with soft, swirling clouds and the cool brilliance of the moon. This pattern is for mythology and celestial art lovers who appreciate the powerful symbolism of the stars. In this scene, the world is asleep under the watchful, shimmering eye of Diana.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
