This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Blowing Bubbles designed from a painting by Charles Joshua Chaplin shows a young woman engaged in the favorite pastime of blowing bubbles practiced by many children alike.  The woman is sitting in a chair dressed in a lovely white frock adorned with pink ribbons and flowers including a pink satin sash.  She has blown two bubbles, and the largest one has a bluish tint to it.  It's late afternoon and the sun is slowly going down as evidenced by the reflection of the window on the wall.  It won't be long before it's time for bed, and she will have to put the bubbles away.  Blowing bubbles is something we adults never outgrow and thank goodness because it brings back the joys of being a child again--if not just for a precious moment!  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
