This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Asleep in the Woods designed from a painting by Arthur Hughes shows a woman sitting beneath a tree catching a nap and just enjoying being in the open outdoors. The background is infused with feathery leaves from tree branches. The sky is an intense blue, and a squirrel is noted in the tree. Moss-covered rocks and a bevy of ferns and wild flowers make the scene complete and idyllic. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
