This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled First Snow Along the Hudson River designed from a painting by Regis Francois Gignoux shows the ground blanketed white from the first fallen snow. The trees with the remnants of fall have tasted the bitter cold and are dusted with just a trace of snow. As the wind whispers down the hill past the cabin, you can see it shimmer with a spray of snow glistening in the afternoon sunset. Just off to the right in the background we can see the Hudson River adjusting to the weather with small patches of ice forming. The sky is blue and crisp with just a few clouds, and we wait to see what tomorrow brings weather-wise. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
