This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Twilight in the Tropics designed from a painting by Frederic Edwin Church shows the sun starting to go down over the mountains. The reflection of the sun is seen as a round golden disk lighting on top of the stillness of the water, and all that can be heard are the faint calls of birds as they prepare for nightfall. A tiny island with small trees can be seen midway next to the sun's reflection on the water. Of note are two people and their dog sitting near a large boulder talking with each other and enjoying the sunset. All is calm. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
