This fine art counted cross stitch pattern, entitled By the Canal, designed from a painting by Jean-Pierre-Francois Lamoriniere, shows a landscape scene of a tranquil waterway flanked by rows of tall trees. The sky is a mixture of white puffy clouds mixed with subdued grays, with blue skies hiding underneath. People are out conversing and strolling along the canal, enjoying the scenery. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
