This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Falls of St. Anthony designed from a painting by Albert Bierstadt shows the falls in their natural state before man intervened with disruption by changing the lay of the land. The artist has used the style of Romanticism in appreciation of nature by including Native Americans in the scene who are sitting on the bank and others who have stopped by just to appreciate the beauty of unspoiled nature. The sun coming down from its zenith for the day shines its golden light on top of the falls which make it look like spun gold. What a sight to behold! Large trees are positioned to protect and shield from the sun those who have come to bask in the reverie of the scenery. The water from the falls is a clear aqua blue and the rapids are adorned with whitecaps. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
