This vintage counted cross stitch pattern entitled A Tempestuous Romance shows a young handsome couple madly in love with each other engaged in an embrace while on the deck of a yacht. The wind is billowing the sails and whipping the woman’s flaming red hair, but her captain boyfriend has eyes for no one but her and is destined to not let her get away. They are in a whirlwind love affair that could only be quenched by a cold splash of sea water or a heavy rain. Just looking at them you can imagine the passion they feel for each other. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
