This vintage counted cross stitch pattern entitled Chasing Butterflies shows a small blond-haired child tumbling across a flowered-covered hill in his attempts to catch a butterfly. Try as he might, that butterfly seems to evade his grasp at every attempt. This pattern, although one of my favorites, brings back the nostalgic innocence when children didn't need sophisticated technology to hold their attention and engaged in simple acts of play that were rewarding. This child is fascinated with nature and God's creation. How refreshing! No blended colors are used in our patterns. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our designs.
