This Christmas vintage counted cross stitch pattern entitled Gothic Cathedral at Yuletide designed by Tracey Marvel Kramer shows a beautiful spectacular Gothic Cathedral lit up at dusk with surrounding pine trees decorated for the season. Judging from the position of the clouds and their diagonal formation, dusk is quickly shifting over to night, and soon the cathedral will be illuminated by the moon and the cathedral’s own light sources creating a glorious effect. The streaks and swirls of the clouds in violet, teal and aqua seem to add drama to the setting and enhance the colors of this monolith. Snow is covering the spires and steeples leaving a blanket of white as it drifts over the edges. What a beautiful scene! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
