This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Summer Days designed from a painting by George Inness shows the artist's ability to blend the ideal with the reality of nature where we see the beginning of autumn and the end of summer with the leaves on the trees already turning. A horseman is overseeing the cattle while they are drinking, and so he will soon round them up. Across the horizon we see mountains and an approaching sunset which is a signal to get the cattle rounded up and put in the barn before evening settles in. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect
