This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Rinaldo and Armida designed from a painting by Francois Boucher shows the romance between Armida who is a sorceress and Rinaldo who is a Christian prince. During the Crusades, Armida was hired by Satan to foil the plans of the crusaders and also to murder Rinaldo. But right when Rinaldo was asleep and Armida had the chance to kill him by striking a death blow, as she looked at him, she realized she could not go through with her evil plans because she had fallen in love with him. In this particular scene, she is looking at Rinaldo with loving eyes totally smitten with him. This was a battle between good and evil where hate turned to love. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
