This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Crucifixion designed from a painting by Carl Heinrich Bloch shows Jesus, the Son of God, on the cross who died for our sins as an ultimate act of love so that we Christians would have the gift of eternal life. Those who are at the bottom of the cross and who watched the entire ordeal are Mary, his mother, Mary Magdalene, John the disciple and others who loved him and grieved for him. The colors are strong and rich in tone, especially the varying shades of blue in the sky as a backdrop against our beloved King. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
