This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Building the Cradle of Liberty designed from a painting by Jean Leon Gerome-Ferris shows Alexander Hamilton, who has just exited a horse-drawn coach, standing outside with an elderly woman and a younger woman on both arms respectively.  He is going over construction plans with the foreman regarding the building of Independence Hall which occurred in Philadelphia between 1732 and 1740.  The scene is very colorful with a lot of activity going on, and we can see the progress of the construction in the background.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
