This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Portrait of Prince Abbondio Rezzonico designed from a painting by Pompeo Batoni shows the prince who is a member of the Venetian family and nephew to Pope Clement XIII. He had been appointed Senator in 1765 which was one of the highest ranking positions in the magistrate and government of the city. Here he is pictured wearing a red and gold regalia and a gray powdered wig. At the bottom of the scene, Cupid appears holding the scales of justice. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
