This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Lake Nemi designed from a painting by George Inness shows the beautiful ancient lake in all its glory picture perfect, so perfect that we think it must be a figment of our imagination, but in hindsight it is a reality. Here the lake is surrounded by large trees at the left foreground and clearings and hilltops all the way around. Two women have come to observe its beauty while another person is already in the lake swimming away from the shore. The artist favored this lake so much, that it is pictured in at least nine of his paintings. Nothing but peacefulness and beauty exist here! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
