This flower counted cross stitch pattern entitled Glorious Gloxinia shows an image I photographed myself of one of the most beautiful houseplants I have ever owned. The colors were breathtaking and seemed to blend into each other. The texture of the flower itself seemed to be more like velvet, and the stems and leaves were covered with a soft very light downy fuzz. The plant is considered to be tropical and grows in wild abundance in Brazil. The background gives off a golden glow, but the plant itself is in various shades of pink and white. No blended colors are used in our patterns. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our designs.
