This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Soldiers on the 10th Dragoon Regiment designed from a painting by George Stubbs shows a regiment of soldiers standing in formation awaiting the command from their leader. The sky is bleak but for a few patches of blue sky showing through the thick gray clouds, and it looks as though there could be a chance for rain, and then again maybe not. Not to diminish the seriousness of the subject matter, but the presentation almost reminds one of toy soldiers lined up for instruction. Detail has been given to the uniforms that appear to be crisp, especially the white pants. All in all for you historical army buffs, this is a great pattern to stitch! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
