This fine art counted cross stitch pattern, entitled Gwenddydd and Her Dog in a Garden, designed from a painting by Hubert von Herkomer, shows the artist's daughter and her dog in a garden setting. She has a rather large, black dog with white markings, and they are posing by what looks like a fountain of flowers on a raised platform. The daughter is wearing a long white dress, and her hair raven tresses are flowing to waist length. We can tell that it is a sunny day from the sunlight bouncing off the leaves of the shrubbery. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
