This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Last Summer Days designed from a painting by Thomas Brooks shows a well-dressed woman in formal attire who seems to have attracted the attention of some birds.  In fact, one has lighted on her shoulder possibly looking for more food.  She may have fed the others and has no more as noted by the birds eating the last vestiges.  She is standing in front of a wall made of bricks that is shrouded by a dense mat of vines and greenery.  She is out enjoying the last days of summer before autumn pays a visit to the countryside.  The detail in the gown is quite interesting and worth mentioning.  One cannot help but to notice the gorgeous brocade, rich tones and finery of the clothing she is wearing which must have cost her a mint!  It would be wonderful to see the detail of her clothing come to life on canvas!  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
