This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Gypsy at her Toilet designed from a painting by Edouard Debat-Ponsan shows a gypsy woman on a country roadside tending to her long thick hair. She has propped up a mirror and is combing the snarls out of her long tresses. The woman's dog lies in the grass resting and waiting with contentment just happy to be near her. The rest of the members of the caravan can be seen on the other side of the road. It is morning and the summer sun will soon be at its zenith, so they had better not tarry too long as they've got a long road ahead of them. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
