This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Presentation of Ring of Doges of Venice designed from a painting by Paris Bordone represents a gondolier who has made the trip to return the ring of St. Mark to Doge Gradenigo (chief magistrate of Venice) after a violent hideous storm that occurred in the city of Venice on February 15, 1340.  The storm was frightening as the gondolier witnessed evil spirits and ghostly sprites upon the water's high waves during the storm.  Nevertheless, he braved the storm to return the ring.  The scenery is colorful and exceedingly ornate with lots of detail and grand architecture that rivals all others.  The pomp and circumstance is noted here and is fit for a king.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
