This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Italian Coast Scene with Ruined Tower designed from a painting by Thomas Cole shows a lone ruined tower sitting on top of a large crag of rocks, and vines and vegetation have taken over the tower causing a large crack producing tumbling bricks. It's a sunny day and a small figure is seen sitting on two large rocks overlooking the coast where the clouds nearly touch the sea. The scene has a serene dream-like quality that instantly relaxes the mind and is breathtaking. Here the artist attempts to show how short-lived fortunes made by man are, and soon they become overtaken by time itself. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
