This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Ducks on the Shore designed from a painting by Alexander Koester shows a flock of white ducks that had recently been searching for food on dry land and are making their way back to the coolness of the water. The blue sky is full of billowy clouds in various shades of white, gray, and even mimic colors from the still waters. The color of the water is a vibrant bright azure as it dominates the scene with its beauty against the downy whiteness of the ducks. This is one of my favorites, and it's certainly worth the stitch! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
